Salt Creek Falls

By Kelsey Samsel | Hiking

Salt Creek Falls is the third tallest waterfall in Oregon at 286 feet. The second tallest is Watson Falls at 293 feet and the third is Multnomah Falls at 620 feet. The waterfall is located in the Willamette National Forest about an hour and a half away from Bend.

Once you get there and park, the observation platform is only about 50 feet from the parking lot so it’s really easy to get to. In addition to being easy to get it, the platform is also wheelchair accessible.

After spending some time on the viewing platform, you can continue on and take a short hike to the waterfall base. This part is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

For those of you who want more of a challenge, continue on to the Diamond Creek Falls Trail for a 4-mile moderate hike.

things to know
