3 Beer Festivals You Won’t Want to Skip This Summer

With the weather getting increasingly hotter, sometimes all you can do is drink a cold beer. Oregon is famous for it’s beer scene and there are several opportunities throughout the year to taste different beers at festivals. So, grab a friend, check out our list of upcoming brew fests below and  remember to bring your ID!

OREGON BREWERS FESTIVAL

From July 26-29, head down to Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland for the 31st annual Oregon Brewers Festival. Almost 70,000 beer drinkers make the trek to downtown Portland every year to taste different beers.

With 80 different craft beers (including cider and wine) and several food vendors, you won’t run out of options. They even have their own app which gives you access to this year’s product descriptions.

Entry into the festival is free but you have to purchase their plastic souvenir mug for $7 to be able to drink alcohol, and wooden tokens for $1 each to buy drinks.

BEND BREWFEST

Take a road trip to Bend, Oregon, for their annual Bend Brewfest at the Les Schwab Amphitheater from August 16-18. This is an opportunity to taste over 150 of the country’s best beers, ciders and wines.

Bend Brewfest is Free but in order to drink alcohol, you must purchase their their mug for $20. The mug comes with 5 tokens to go towards your first drink. More tokens are available in packs of 5 for $5. Beer tokens are good for all three days of the Brewfest.

Children are allowed until 5pm each night but you have to leave your pets at home.

HOOD RIVER HOPS FEST

If you are into Hops, plan a trip to Hood River, Oregon, for the 15th annual Hood River Hops Fest on September 22.

This festival features live music, food vendors and fresh hop beer from over 50 breweries. Because of our climate, the bulk of fresh hop production takes place in the Pacific Northwest.

Admission to Hood River Hops Fest is $15 pre-sale and $20 day of. Price includes entry,  a special glass mug, and five 3.5 oz. drink tokens.

This event is family-friendly from 5pm until 8pm (closing) and free for those under 21.
